Modern Bronze is a band determined to create unique music pulling from a wide variety of influences.  Comprised of four musicians who are constantly asking 'What If?', Modern Bronze is making dynamic rock music in Los Angeles, California. This female-fronted quartet combines magnetic songwriting with melodic riffs, powerful drums, grooving bass and synth lines, with many surprises in between. With two EPs (Treading Water & Fight or Flight) and one full length album (...When You Fall) available on iTunes and Spotify, this hard-working band is determined to succeed.

"Fight or Flight is on the heavier side of rock and there's no doubt that some of that sound comes from their work with Grammy-nominated producer Brian Virtue [Jane's Addiction, Audioslave, 30 Seconds to Mars, Filter, Deftones]. The band is heavy but with plenty of catchy melodies courtesy of vocalist Christina Fauth and strong leads from guitarist Matt Phillips.  The rhythm section of drummer Corey Manske and bassist Adam Fauth is locked-in while leaning back on the beat in homage to Led Zeppelin. Manske incorporates electronics occasionally, which is something we haven't heard him do before yet still manages to inject plenty of tom work on the songs, most prominently in "If" which sounds like a tribal war march.  Available on iTunes or modernbronzemusic.com"

Modern Bronze formed in 2015 in the hiatus of a former band between drummer Corey Manske and bassist Adam Fauth.  Together with Christina Conner and Matt Phillips, the group set out to create their first effort, Treading Water.  From the very beginning, the band has always held true to the idea that there are no boundaries, to always ask what if and to try genre defying ideas.  Largely influenced by classic rock and modern electronic, pop, and alternative, the band strived to live up to the name Modern Bronze; a marriage of the past and the present.

In 2016, with Treading Water under their belt, the band set out to work on their sophomore effort, Fight or Flight.  With Grammy-nominated producer Brian Virtue, the band entered famous Stagg Street studios and began work on a 6 song EP.  Further refining and growing their sound, the band created songs like "Broken", which have hauntingly beautiful epic verses to songs like "So Alive" which evoke a sense of 80s movie nostalgia, seemingly perfect for the end of John Hughes film.  The album truly reflects the band's commitment to "What If" and to make choices that serve the music first and foremost.

Following the departure of guitarist Matt Phillips in late 2016, the band enlisted the talents of guitarist Fred Ferrari and immediately began work on their third effort, the full length album "...When You Fall".  Pulling from the bands varying influences and backgrounds, Modern Bronze created true concept album complete with 4 interludes and 10 full length tracks.

"When we first started writing this album, we had no idea what we wanted to do, but after a few songs developed, we started to get an idea of where we wanted to go with it.  It was Christina that suggested the idea of a concept album that tied each song into the next lyrically, creating an overall story arc.  We really didn't know what we were getting ourselves into, but I couldn't be happier with the final product." explained guitarist Fred Ferrari, when discussing creating the album. "There were only one or two songs that really gave us a run for our money, and I think we rewrote them 5-10 times each until we were happy.  It's strange to finally take a step back and see the project finished knowing what went into making it"

"Modern Bronze is an L.A.-based rock quartet and while they subscribe to the ethos of catchy hooks and hard hitting drums to support earwig melodies, drummer Corey Manske sticks out on this third release like a sore thumb.  Sorry, make that "sticks out like having an additional thumb with which you constantly find new uses." This is undoubtedly the most creative and eclectic offering from the band and the man behind the drumkit is the provocateur in this regard.  The drummer leaves his typical comfort zone in search of a wider palette on ...When You Fall.  His trademark laid-back groove and flourishes of 32nd notes (as in the opener "The Jump") are heard, augmented with double kicks, with "Bad Habit" having a notable embrace of electronics.  The ensemble itself is making a statement with this offering on which half of the songs exceed the four-or five-minute mark.  A quartet of interludes is interwoven amongs the songs, including "Drowning", which highlights Manske's impressive piano skills.  The band and their drummer are stretching extensively on ...When You Fall."
